In the 1870s, a woman named Sayo dies soon after giving birth in prison. The child's only reason for existence: to become an instrument of vengeance against the criminals that murdered Sayo's husband and infant son as part of a crooked scheme. Starring cult siren Meiko Kaji ('Stray Cat Rock: Sex Hunter' & 'Female Convict Scorpio Jailhouse 41') the film uses her brooding quiet demenor to augment the unrementing carnage that is surely to follow. She is raised in seclusion by a monk, declared a Demon of the Netherworld and trained mercilessly in the art of assassination. The adult Yuki ("Snow") dedicates herself totally to slashing her way through the three names on her death list, in the process becoming a folk hero via the pulp stories based on her exploits. But once she thinks her task is at an end, she finds that a fourth enemy, long thought dead, is living under another name, and is now hunting for her. A major influence on Quentin Tarantino's 'KILL BILL!'.
