Starting in the post WWII years and continuing until today there has been a constant shift to frame what is considered "hip" or "cool". Often the notion or exactness of what "cool" is remains ungraspable since its essence purely speculative and inexact. This essence is usually framed by those outside of the norm and is felt rather than enforced. We feel that artists like Miles Davis, Lee Scratch Perry and Jean-Michel Basquiat are "cool" because of their ability to combine a distinctive artistic vision with a personalized demeanor and a sense of detachment that at the same time is overtly passionate and sincere.
To give a voice to all those visionaries, both past and present, Sonotheque presents "Rhythm-Us". "Rhythm-Us" is based on the concept of the "listening lounge", an acoustically sophisticated space where one can draw in and immerse themselves into the environment of sound and texture.
So sip a classic cocktail, unwind from the burdens of the day and open up your mind to a night of musical magic.
