On August 4, 2008, for the first time ever, a major TV network will be taping one of its series at the upcoming Listen/ Africa HI FI event.! The Executive Producer is well known across many networks with a long list of TV series productions in the urban arts. This episode will focus on Chicago’s urban music, specifically the legendary Ron Trent and spotlighting our Africa Hi Fi community to examine our diverse arts community and local neighborhood jewels.

A special night warrants a celebration with a stellar showcase … Chicago is in the building with the purveyors of Chi-City Soul: Africa Hi Fi/Listen selector DJ Ron Trent, featuring live performances by Phenom, Yaw, JMB, Khari Lemuel, J Ivy, Peven Everett, Black Slang and others.
