After a year wherein JACKSON's monthly talent lineup would reach up and down the electronic music spectrum to include the disco bump of METRO AREA, the jukin' ghetto house sounds of Chicago legends DJ DEEON + DJ SLUGO, the NATION-styled ebm of JAMES T. COTTON, TRAXX, + BEAU WANZER, the techno stylings of DANIEL BELL, DEREK PLASLAIKO, + SOMEONE ELSE, and the party rocking idm mastery of DAEDELUS, DARK PARTY, ELIOT LIPP, + LEO123), JACKSON finally relaunches in January 2009 with a renewed commitment to bring the widest range of modern electronic sound to Chicago... in party format! For our January 16th relaunch, we're excited to present a Chicago exclusive; the debut performance from the elusive and world renowned LOS HERMANOS, direct from Detroit's seminal UNDERGROUND RESISTANCE camp. A live performance in the fullest sense which has rocked clubs and festivals the world over, this three piece will be bringing the quintessential UR live experience within the intimate confines of Sonotheque! Also featured on the night will be Chicago-based JEROME DERRADJI (Still Music), as well as a special tag team from January Birthday boy AUDIOPHILE (Meiotic/MSDJZ) and MATTHEW MARTIN (Meiotic/MSDJZ)... FIRST EVER CHICAGO PERFORMANCE

Responsible for some of the grooviest soul-drenched moments in Detroit techno of the last ten years, LOS HERMANOS would come to blur the boundaries between Techno and House, raising the overall musical standard in electronic music. Originally a production project between DJ Rolando, Gerald Mitchell, and "Mad Mike" Banks, their collaborative efforts would be best known for bringing about the worldwide musical phenomenon that was "KNIGHTS OF THE JAGUAR", fusing the funk and soul of Detroit Techno with the feel of Latin rhythms. With the departure of Rolando, Gerald Mitchell would step to the forefront, and as shown from his work on Underground Resistance's Interstellar Fugitives project, the Celestial Highways classic on Metroplex, and early house production on Soul City, the Los Hermanos project was in for an exciting trip. Joined by the likes of Santiago Salazar (aka DJ S2), Dan Caballero (aka DJ Dex), Ray7 & Mark Flash, this collective of DJs and producers from the Underground Resistance camp have continued to put their stamp on detroit techno, and under the direction of producer, band leader, and sonic visionary Gerald Mitchell, pursue the agenda of delivering sublime, stunning electronic music, eschewing the trappings and superstar limelight in typical UR fashion.
