Joe Russo and RS Productions present Full Force with Rich Medina

Chicago nightclub and restaurant impresario Joseph Russo celebrates the launch of his new production company, RS Productions, with a four-month event series at Sonotheque entitled Full Force, featuring a stellar selection of DJs from across the country. And to open the Full Force series, RS is giving you none other than New York City’s Rich Medina in his long awaited return to Chicago since April of last year.

DJ/Producer/Spoken Word artist Rich Medina has risen through the rough and tumble NYC music scene to become one of the most respected and in-demand DJs of the new millennium. Already an established DJ in the hyper talented Philadelphia music community in the late ‘90s, he achieved worldwide prominence as resident of the legendary Jump N’ Funk parties, a party that brought the sounds of Afrobeat to a new generation of young listeners. From there, Rich moved into production, working with the likes of Jill Scott, King Britt, DJ Spinna, and many
more. As a DJ, his trademark is an almost effortless ability to mix disparate genres, seamlessly traversing hip-hop, house, soul, afrobeat, and beyond. But above all, he knows how to make the crowd dance...hard.

One of our own most original and versatile Chicago DJs, Tone B Nimble, will open up the night. Tone specializes in rare grooves, Old School Hip Hop and Afro Beat. Tone has been a regular DJ at some of the chicest spots across Chicago: Slick’s Lounge, Sinibar, Funky Buddha, Sonotheque...to name a few. Tone is also founder and owner of local Chicago record label, All Natural Hip Hop.

The Full Force event series will be every 4th Thursday of the month at Sonotheque from January thru April of 2009. After the inaugural event with Rich Medina, get ready for:
